In creating this piece, I was realizing my accessibility to water was like an endless pool of water that I didn’t think twice about and in my world I could relax with a cup of tea anytime I choose. I then juxtaposed that against the great effort and time and dedicated cooperation it takes for others in the world to acquire the water they need. I created this piece by first painting the water in oil with a large “rooster” brush. I then did paper collage on top of the dried paint, a few lines of “puff paint”, and finished with an epoxy coating on top.
