The Children of Abbey Woods Series

We took a trolly from where we were staying in French Lick, Indiana, to West Baden, Indiana, to see the crumbled interiors of the once famous West Baden Springs Hotel. It was like stepping into the past: the trolley was original and  the neglected hotel was draped in crumbled mosaics, unpainted arches, and broken glass.  It was a real adventure for our family with the filtered sunlight streaming in from the trolley car windows. Our youngest, at the time, was a bit apprehensive, and her expression caught the feel of the afternoon’s experiences.
