Black Bird Farm Series

Our niece and her husband bought a farm in MI recently and last year we took most of our family to the farm for a visit. I grew up in Iowa and my grandparents lived on a farm when I was growing up and I have great memories of loving the farm; these scenes brought back sweet memories.

The cosmos is these fields seem like notes of music on a page to me in this piece- they could be singing a song as they move through the air on their stems.
