Rocks and Water Series

I love rocks and water: the stability and permanence of rocks juxtaposes with the fluidity and persistence of an ocean wave.  This piece was inspired by the tide pools on the California coast line.

Direct painting with a large palette knife along with layering of hues in thin layers are the technique I used for this large piece.
