Black Bird Farm Series

Our niece and her husband bought a farm in MI recently and last year we took most of our family to the farm for a visit. I grew up in Iowa and my grandparents lived on a farm when I was growing up and I have great memories of loving the farm; these scenes brought back sweet memories.

The orange flowers circle through this piece and help carry the movement of the two figures in this painting.  I like the weight of the sky, also;  it seems to push the figures forward too.
