I spent the weekend  at an outdoor Civil War re enactment in MI where we slept in tents and cooked and ate over sod dug fire pits.  This young lady is the daughter of the owner of our tent and she showed me the ropes of how to ‘pretend’ to live in 1850’s.  She stands against part of an old barn, the blacksmiths ‘shop’.
