Bar Harbor at dusk is a magical place when the fog rolls in.  The Margare Todd is moored peacefully in the distance against Porcupine Island.

This watercolor is larger than I usually work and not as “watery” as I had hoped, but it does have that enchanting feeling of a foggy dusk.

I tried many compositional idea’s for this piece with thumbnails before I settled on the final placement of the boats in the space of the “frame”.
